HELP NEEDED

FL...I need some help.This crappy AMV is using my Chibi Dancing Sanzo icon()...not to mention a few other peoples icons,in a way totally not intended....and I dunno wether to be pissed off or just disgusted.I dont even know what to do in this situation in regards to getting it possibly yanked. Am I over reacting? Is there a way to contact Youtube about this? HELP!

Wow. I wish I could help but I'm not sure what all you could do other than notify YouTube. It's likely they may not do anything about it since you don't own the copyright to the image (I assume - since Minekura own's Saiyuki) and even if you did, YouTube allows loads of licensed stuff on their site. Big name organizations are trying to get the site to pull their licensed stuff but it's like pulling teeth. Lots of luck. *hugs*

I'm sorry to say that I've seen quite a few of these situations - there was even one where the artist posted that the images used were his, but the AMV maker only replied breezily that she did put "disclaimers" at the credits.

I've been plagiarized myself by a professional sports columnist, no less! Argh., so if it's any consolation I know just how you feel.

This icon has almost been more trouble than its worth.It's my most popular....and the most stolen icon Ive ever done. Its kinda fustrating.

It was kinda my fault for being so naive. Even though it was just a tennis "fan article" I now know I should have put a copyright tag with it. >.<'

Heh, I know what you mean - I must've seen those dancing icons everywhere! Why am I not surprised that *you* made them? And with that said, am still stealing the above icon (GAH!!!)... just for private fangirling, of course. ^_~

The one of all 4 of them dancing I didnt make...just the Sanzo one. Im working on finishing the set with the other 3 tho. And probly one of all 4 together.

Oh, dear. Some people just have no respect.

Contacting YouTube probably won't help, but by all means try. I'm not a YouTube member, or I would contact the, ahem, creator of the AMV as nizlaili has already done.

*nods* Im most likely going to have to get a Youtube account to do either of those things...wich Im planing to do after work tonight. Then Ill see what options I have.
