How many times has someone on your friends list posted about something and you were really confused, but you didn't want to ask because you thought you should know? Mnemonics are a device used to remember things, usually in the form of short lines or acronyms. Like "My very energetic mother just started up nine pies" to remember the names of the planets. The first letter in each word is the letter the planet's name is. And yes, I probably got the line wrong, but it still works and is less dumb that SohCahToa.

you now i actually knew that ^_^ and mnemonics is one of only two words that start with mn the other is mnemosine.

Oh, I figured you did and were teasing, but I thought I should throw out the explanation anyways. Isn't Mnemosine a name though, and comes from the same root? If so, that's kinda cheating.
